Aurix Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-19-v4. Effective 19 October 2026.
1. Aurix and this agreement
Aurix is a video sharing service operated in Canada by Reese Thompson (Myla). These terms cover aurix.tv, www.aurix.tv, dashboard.aurix.tv and the account and media services that support them. Contact the operator at [email protected] for service, policy, copyright or privacy questions.
You enter this agreement when you explicitly accept these Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines. We record the versions and acceptance time. Existing accounts must accept before posting, uploading or using other features that require the current agreement. You may still browse, secure your account, report content, review decisions and appeal without accepting an update. Do not accept on someone else's behalf unless you have authority to do so.
The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Agreement to these terms is not consent to optional advertising, AI training or other unrelated data uses.
2. Age and account responsibilities
Accounts are for people aged 13 or older. If a higher minimum age or parental permission is required by the law that applies to you, that requirement also applies. If you are below the age of majority where you live, review these terms with a parent or guardian and obtain their permission where required. A 13+ checkbox is a self-confirmation, not verified proof of age.
Provide an email address you control, choose a secure password and keep sign-in and recovery information private. You are responsible for the activity you authorise through your account. Tell Aurix if you believe your account has been compromised. Do not impersonate someone, buy or sell accounts, share another person's credentials or evade a restriction through another account.
3. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you upload. You are responsible for having the rights, licences, permissions and consents needed for your videos, audio, thumbnails, comments, playlists, profile images and links. Uploading something you found online or giving credit does not by itself provide permission. Applicable copyright exceptions remain available where their requirements are met.
You grant Aurix a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display and technically adapt your content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure and moderate the service under your visibility settings. Aurix may use hosting and service providers to carry out those tasks. This licence does not transfer ownership or authorise selling your content as a separate product. It does not grant a blanket licence to train AI models on your uploads. New optional uses requiring permission will be explained separately.
The operational licence ends when your content is deleted from the service, except for limited copies reasonably needed for backups, security, legal obligations or an ongoing dispute. Those retained copies are not permission to keep publicly distributing deleted content. Independent copies or shares made by other people may remain outside Aurix's control.
4. Visibility, interaction and service use
Public content can be discovered and shared. Unlisted content can be accessed by anyone who obtains its link. Private content requires the owner's account for ordinary access; authorised operators may access it when necessary to operate the service, investigate a report or meet a legal obligation. Do not use an unlisted link as a substitute for access control.
Follow the Community Guidelines across videos, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, comments, playlists, profile images, banners and channel links. Do not attack the service, bypass permissions, upload malicious files, steal credentials, manipulate views or engagement, scrape private information or interfere with other people's access. Security concerns may be reported to the operator without publishing exploitable details or accessing another person's data.
Other people may react, comment or subscribe. Creators may manage comments on their own videos. A creator removing a comment is separate from an Aurix operator's platform enforcement decision.
5. Advertising, memberships and monetization
Aurix may show advertising on eligible public and unlisted videos. Private previews and member-only videos do not request ads. Advertising and income are not guaranteed.
Creators apply for Affiliate or Partner approval through Monetization in Studio, then complete individual payout setup with Stripe. Affiliates receive 60% and Partners receive 75% of eligible advertising and membership revenue, with proportional adjustments for refunds and disputes. Historical allocations retain their original rates.
Channel memberships renew monthly until cancelled. The three standard prices are CAD 5, CAD 10 and CAD 25; creators choose which tiers are open to new members. Higher tiers include lower-tier member-only content on the same channel. Disabling a tier or pausing monetization does not cancel existing subscriptions or remove paid access.
The dedicated Monetization Terms explain eligibility, approval, revenue calculations, recurring payments, tier changes, cancellations, refunds, creator obligations, test environments and payout limitations. They supplement this agreement. Stripe handles payments and payout verification. Test earnings are not real funds, and verified advertising earnings are separate from Stripe membership balances.
6. Reports, copyright and legal requests
Signed-in people can report videos, comments and channels using the Report action. People without an account, rights holders, parents and people unable to access a report form can contact [email protected]. Include a safe content link, relevant timestamps, what is wrong and enough information to understand the concern. Do not send passwords, unnecessary identity documents or copies of illegal sexual material involving children.
For a copyright complaint, identify the work or rights concerned, the Aurix content and its location, the alleged infringement, relevant dates, your contact details and whether you are the rights holder or authorised representative. Explain your good-faith basis, including why a licence or applicable exception does not resolve the concern. Provide accurate information. Aurix may request clarification, review the uploader's response, restrict content or take other steps required by applicable law. A report is not a court decision and does not create an automatic entitlement to removal or payment.
Aurix handles valid legal notices and process under applicable law. This contact is not a representation that Aurix is registered as a United States DMCA agent. Nothing here replaces a legally required notice process or a person's right to pursue a legal remedy.
7. Enforcement and appeals
Authorised operators can review reports, dismiss a report, restrict content or a channel, and restore content. A channel restriction hides its public channel, profile media, playlists and videos and prevents new publishing activity. Restricted content can remain available to its owner in Studio and to authorised operators for review. Restrictions do not automatically delete files or create a financial penalty.
We consider the rule involved, context, seriousness, repeated conduct and available evidence. We may restrict harmful content promptly while reviewing it. Report volume alone is not proof of a violation. A report does not automatically hide content. Aurix uses automated text, transcript, thumbnail and sampled video frame screening before publishing new or edited content. Models can make mistakes and sampling does not inspect every frame. Clear screening results may allow publication automatically; flagged, uncertain or repeatedly failed checks stay unpublished for human review. A human operator can approve, restrict or reject content with an explanation. AI does not permanently delete content or determine legality. Existing report and channel restrictions continue to apply separately.
Affected people can read the relevant rule and explanation in Studio > Safety and appeals and submit one appeal per restriction decision. Explain the mistake or context and provide relevant information. An operator reviews the appeal and provides a response. A reversal restores the affected restriction when no newer decision prevents it; it does not cancel a separate restriction. Contact the operator if you have new information after an appeal or cannot use the account. Where practicable, a different operator should review an appeal; Aurix may have only one operator available.
Reporter identities and private report text are restricted to authorised operators and are not included in creator-facing notices. Information may still be disclosed where legally required, as explained in the Privacy Policy. The queue is not an emergency service and does not promise continuous monitoring or a fixed response time. Contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
8. Leaving Aurix and account requests
You can stop using Aurix, sign out, delete your own content using available tools and pause future creator revenue sharing. For account closure, data access, deletion or other controls not available in the interface, contact [email protected]. Aurix may need proportionate verification and may retain limited records for legal, security, accounting or dispute purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy.
If you do not accept an updated agreement, do not use features that require it. You can still contact us about your account or an existing decision. Closing an account does not erase obligations or rights that lawfully continue, including existing revenue records and disputes.
9. Availability, responsibility and legal rights
Aurix is provided as available. Features, storage limits, compatibility and service availability can change, and interruptions or errors may occur. Keep an independent copy of content that matters to you. We do not guarantee a particular audience, income, upload processing result or uninterrupted access. We remain responsible for obligations and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aurix does not promise that another person's content or an external link is accurate, lawful, safe or suitable for you. Each person remains responsible for their own conduct and for losses they cause where the law makes them responsible. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, remove mandatory consumer protections, require arbitration or waive rights to a court or collective proceeding.
Aurix is operated from Canada. Canadian law and applicable provincial or territorial law govern to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you. Mandatory protections and available courts in your place of residence are not displaced by these terms.
10. Updates and contact
Material changes will be published with a new version and effective date, with appropriate notice and fresh acceptance before features requiring that agreement resume. Earlier versions remain available through their versioned links. A change does not retrospectively remove rights that cannot lawfully be changed.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law. Questions, complaints, accessibility requests, copyright concerns and appeals that cannot be made in Studio can be sent to Reese Thompson (Myla) at [email protected].
